I just saw the movie, and I very much  recommend it. A great blend of theatre-esque scenes, music, and storyline. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am back in the States, school has started a week ago, and I already have two projects due next week. I’ve been looking at my blog, trying to remember, or actually figure out why I’ve gotten so lazy. First it was twitter,  I thought since I was on twitter it would be ok not to blog for a while. Then even twitter I got bored of, partly because I didn’t have any internet on my iPhone in Kuwait. The thing is, it is ok not to post often, since we make blogs to write whenever we get the urge no? There is no deadline or due date. No grades or pressure.

But I do feel guilty. I do feel lazy. I do feel like oh man it’s been such a long time since I blogged, and that sucks.  What am I to do? Help.

The weather is starting to get colder here, and fasting is interesting because you are alone and futoor is just a donut or a milkshake mid class.

Chris, for making my day, every day.

Mom, for putting up with my irresponsibility and craziness.

Sarah, for always being there for me, always.

My family member, for showing no sympathy. And constantly complaining.

My ex, for many things, mainly, for showing me what real men are not.

My heart, for making it so hard to forget.

And my readers, who don’t complain of absence.

I love you all.

Every now and then, I have the pleasure of stumbling upon a string of words  that linger in my head for quite some time. They form a shape, colour, size and smell in my head. And definitely a sound. And it is to my friend, that I owe this stumbling upon, for his girlfriend, which I have not seen, who practically does live at the far end of this world, left him a message somewhere public.

She began by complaining, telling him that she wished he was there with there. And then proceeded to tell him, that she got drenched in the rain, trying to wash her clothes today by the stream. She did not stop, but continued to wash her colourful items, vigorously, until bubbles had formed. It was then the sky decided to stop raining, and sunlight gave way to a rainbow.

Bubbles, rainbows, detergent. Three of my favourite things.

I was surprised to read what she said next.

” I miss your beautiful face, your lovely glasses, and those strands of hair that always get in the way.”

I looked at him and smiled that day. I had never looked at him before. He always seems so sad. His girl made my day.

I offered him my lunch, which I claimed having no time for, to which he took without any hesitation. He told me that he was missing his girlfriend’s cooking and my wrapped delicacy actually resembled it.

I am back. I am home. I am in Kuwait.

Finding reading a joy. And not cooking. Maybe cleaning. Watching anime.

Splurging my money. Buying high heels. Saying no. And expensive clutches.

Not falling for lines. Taking long bubble baths. Not answering the phone.

Being Determined. Laid back. Lazy sometimes. Hyper at other times.

I like instability. And changing my ipods frequently. Wanting to play the guitar.

 Supporting myself. 

I cherish my independence. 

And apparently that doesn’t suit men.

1. I am not a homophobe, and  I never have been. As long as I don’t have to be exposed to things I don’t want to see. And that applies to straight couples too.

2. I don’t mind smokers. Again, as long as I don’t have to breathe their smoke. Kaifhum! I do mind druggies tho lol.

3. I am getting extremely good at doing the laundry. Two points for me.

4. Birds? Freak me out. A seagull came near my window the other day, and I zoomed off I was genuinely scared. 

5. Just because I don’t drink, does that mean I can’t go out with those who drink? Everyone drinks. Madre. I am still unsure. 

6. Books tend to affect me more than movies. But songs get to me the most. 

7. I am extremely accustomed to being alone now, and that scares me. Am I void of emotions or what?

8. I am terrible at rejection. I don’t know how to say no. I keep people hanging ;-/ 

9. I love my new macbookpro, but I hate the black keyboard.

10. I miss the smell of buses in Londy.

My friend – in kuwait – asked me to wake her up at 4.30 am. She went to sleep at 3.30. God bless undergrad life. Anyways, I woke her up and she sounded really tired, and the conversation went like this:

Haa one more hour? “No.”

N9 sa3a? “No.”

Inzeen 25 minutes? “No.”

OK 22 Minutes? “Yes.

OK byeee sleep well. “Beep beep”

Lol I called in 25 minutes – yes 25 it’s not like she noticed and I don’t count well ;p 

*phone rings, she picks up*

“Haaa”

Yallah wakey wakey sar 25 minutes!

“enty laish dagah? moo gelna degay later? laish ma teshta’3lain 3adel entai?”

*Vixen tears up.*

bbut! it’s been 25 minutes! you said to call later cuz u were tired! U want to sleep more? I can call later..

“yes. later” 

*she hangs up*

Laish ma ashte’3el 3adel? LOL I really felt like a broken alarm clock.

ps. I would have been mad, but I know she was really exhausted and delirious. And she is never disrespectful. I only wish I could’ve recorded that!

It’s 12:12 am. (For my stalker, finally you can calculate which time zone I’m in – hip hip hurrah!) I am not usually up this late. I am not sleepy and I’m missing my friends. Feeni swalf! Ooo malait menhum wallah (Elli minee). I’ve added so many people here on my msn, now I never go in. Malee 5elg talk about “here”. Elmohem. I’m so bored I’m considering making a twitter account ^_^ cool? no? madre. Is there a twitter app for iphone? I <3 my iphone. What’s all this craze with bb’s?  I don’t like it.
